The Smart Scope® test can be an excellent screening test as it is based on the technique of colposcopy. It improves VIA and VILI procedures further as we can clearly observe with a digital record of the color variation and opacity which is difficult to assess with naked eye and provides very good visualization of the cervix, which is cumbersome otherwise. It helps while counseling patients as they understand the seriousness of the situation quicker.

Our nursing staff, medical officer, and remote expert could be trained to use the device within a short time. It does not require any special setup. For many patients, we were able to examine and recommend treatment in same visit, and for many others we could refer for remote expert review.

The trans-vaginal digital device with telemedicine facility can provide a single-visit test. The Smart Scope® is handy and easy to use for trained primary care workers. Since it is trans-vaginal, it can give better visualization of the cervix.
