Embedded Hardware Design, with focus on Digital Circuits
Job description
Must have:
o Circuit design and analysis skills for digital and Mixed-signal circuits.
o Design and Analysis of R/L/C filters, OpAmp circuits and data-converter circuits.
o Excellent knowledge of micro-controller families such as Cypress, TI, ARM architecture
o Excellent knowledge building network adapters for various protocols i.e., USB, BLE, WiFi
o Excellent knowledge of SOCs
o Understanding of signal integrity, noise factors, filtering, decoupling, thermal, etc.,
o Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
o Experience with using schematic and circuit analysis tools like Eagle, Cadence, Orcad,etc
o Familiarity with Circuit layout tools like PCB Editor, Allegro, etc.,
o Experience in developing firmware for microcontroller or microprocessor based boards
o Design of power supply converters all topologies
o Experience with DFMA cycle
o Excellent understanding of requirements for electronics and electric tests such as ESD,EMC/EMI
o Success of the designs done; did it ship over 1000 units
o Experience in performing CE/UL certifications for the board and products
o BGA components, passive and active components
o Good understanding of testing and debugging techniques
o Good understanding of revision control systems like SVN, GIT
o Experience with design from scratch with a product mindset and system levelunderstanding
o Experience of programming with medical sensors and/or biomedical device applications
o Working knowledge of ISO13485, ISO60601, ISO14971 guidelines
o Knowledge of MIPI, high speed image signal processing
Responsibilities:
1.Develop new hardware solutions from initial requirements through prototypes to production ready.
2.Embedded Circuit design, inclusive of Component Selection, Spice Simulation, Control Loop design, Power supplies, signal integrity check, interface designs, protocol analysis, mechanical interference, thermal analysis, High-reliability, long availability, BOM management, etc.,
3. Co-ordinate with Layout engineers for proper layout design inclusive of power supplies routing, signal integrity, thermal dissipation, clear documentation, etc.
4.Maintain existing designs and develop new variants of existing products to add new features, deal with component end-of-life, etc.
5.Improve performance of existing designs and fix HW bugs that are identified in current revisions.
6.Work collaboratively with fellow Hardware team members, Product Management, SoftwareEngineering and Manufacturing to produce reliable, standards compliant, world-class products.
7.Create, improve and automate Bench test setups, debug and characterization of embedded boards, Power supply switching regulators, Signal and power integrity measurements for board
characterization.
8.Data collection, jitter measurements, analysis to enable simulation correlation, Test design and automation
